“Hastings Photographicus” by Vassilis Kantas
Hastings, due to
its lack of a natural harbour, has witnessed over the years many
attempts to create a sheltered harbor. Though a ‘harbour arm’
remains uncompleted, a ‘creative arm’ releases the shutter button
of a camera quite often in this coastal town. In this group show
nine photographers based in Hastings - a town which is sometimes
referred to as ‘the birthplace of television’ since the pioneer
of television, John Logie Baird, lived there – continue an inquiry
upon vision.
