RESIDENCIES AND EDUCATION

Leroy Henry, Artist in Residence

Leroy Henry

My work is influenced by experimental, explorative 3D engineering to bring about awareness of emotional associations to the built environment, and   transform them into bold original prints or other mediums. That will explore why particular buildings in Hastings and other areas are seen as iconic and prompt the viewer to consider how and why associations are formed.

The Dramatic Architecture project initially started in 2006 in the West Midlands.  Culminated in exhibitions at Wolverhampton and Birmingham Central Libraries. The University of Wolverhampton and Birmingham Symphony Hall.

I am now exploring other parts of the country hence my residency at F-ish with a view of developing a new body of work for my next exhibition. That could combine science art and education.

Artist in Residence Leroy Henry

Work under development site-specific large-scale architectural prints on behalf of Hastings, (Creative Media Centre C.M.C), to introduce the said Artist in Residence to the public. Through a striking cinematic backdrop that will act has a geographical signpost for the said Centre.
